Brian Wilson Resurrects 'Smile'

To pre-1960's surfers, "surf music" was more slack guitar key or big band sounds than reverb guitar or vocal harmonies. But, for those of us who became surfers in the 1960's, reverb guitar surf instrumentals and even the beach boys and jan and dean were our own culture's music... Many of us didn't care for the departure Brian Wilson took "The Beach boys" in the late 1960's (i.e. Pet Sounds), but most all of us admired the work in one way or another... Now, Brian Wilson picks up on an old trail and brings back the follow-up to "Pet Sounds"...
